Is Your
Pain
Effecting
The Life You
Deserve?
If you are reading this, you most likely have an injury or pain that is affecting your quality of life and limiting your ability to pursue your passions. You’ve come to the right place.
Have you been searching for the right treatment to help you get back to work, playing sports, or keeping up with your active children?
Have you tried other treatments but are still in pain?
Many times, patients who find SPINE PT have already been to numerous physical therapists, chiropractors, and medical doctors, and have not found the relief or answers they were looking for. They don’t want to take pain pills or muscle relaxers; they just want to know what is causing their pain and how to FIX it!
Those who have already tried physical therapy are skeptical that it will be any different from their last experience. They may have had some bad experiences. Things like spending very little time with their physical therapist, having an unskilled high school student sit with them while repeating the same exercises they do for their home program, or having someone leave them with a hot pack on their back for 20 min.
Maybe they tried massage therapy or seeing an athletic trainer, only to find no relief.
Some may have had surgery and were disappointed that it didn’t fix their pain and maybe even made them worse.
Does any of this sound like your current situation?

You Are Not Alone
If you can relate to any of the situations above, please know that you are not alone. Here are a few statements from people, probably a lot like you, who were in pain and found answers with our unique, one-on-one care and hands-on approach:
“Before coming to Jim, I had been to many doctors and pain specialists who just gave me pain medications and didn’t know what was wrong. My pain was in the front of my legs and I would rate it 9/10 for most of the day. Sleeping and walking made the pain unbearable. Many nights I thought about going to the ER but I have been there many times and they really didn’t do anything for me, other than giving me more pain medications. Jim asked me a few questions and then told me it was coming from the L2- 3 area of my back. I remember being a little frustrated and telling him it wasn’t in my back. The pain was only in my legs. Jim patiently explained how nerves being pinched in the back can send pain down into the legs and not cause any pain in the back itself. He had me do a simple stretch 20 times and my pain dropped from a 9/10 to 7/10. He told me what positions to avoid sleeping in and then to do the stretch 20 times, 3 times/day. Within 24 hours I was pain free! The next time I saw Jim, I had the biggest smile on my face! I was pain free for the first time in 8 years!”
“I have severe scoliosis and have suffered in pain for many years. I have become good friends with my pain management doctor as I needed to see him regularly for more pain medications. I was told by my doctor that my pain was from arthritis and my deformed scoliosis. About a month ago, I fell backward and hit my back on the corner of my computer tower and ended up in the ER for severe pain. Leaving the hospital, I was still in a lot of pain, so my doctor wrote a prescription for physical therapy and this is where I met Jim. He was very thorough in his evaluation and told me my pain was from a pinched nerve in my back. He had me do a little stretch while he applied a little pressure to my back, to help my back stretch a little more than I could do on my own. It felt very comfortable and I could feel it relieving the pain. After the treatment, I had no pain! To think I had had pain all these years, thinking it was my arthritis and scoliosis, and it was just a pinched nerve! I highly recommend Jim’s treatments. I am 80 years old and I feel so much younger now and have been able to ride my stationary bike for exercise without pain.”
What Makes SPINE PT Different
From Other Physical Therapy Clinics?
All physical therapists are not experienced in treating the spine. In graduate school, therapists are trained to treat general conditions, much like a family physician is trained to treat general medical conditions. When you have a serious heart issue, your family physician knows you need someone with additional skills and will refer you to a cardiologist.
Physical therapists are not good at referring patients to more experienced physical therapists because they believe it will negatively impact the success of their practice. They will try to treat you, even without significant training or experience.
The spine is complicated. You need a physical therapist that specializes in the spine, so you don’t end up having surgery when it isn’t needed. Sadly, SPINE PT has met hundreds of patients who had surgery after physical therapy “didn’t work” for them. After asking a few questions, it was obvious these patients were NOT seen by a physical therapist trained in the spine and their symptoms were ones that are successfully treated all the time at SPINE PT. If you have ever had physical therapy in the past, you will understand why the following bullet points set SPINE PT apart.
➢ We ONLY Treat Spine Related Conditions
Being specialized in only one area of the body has allowed us to refine our skills to provide the best possible treatments for our patients.
➢ Get In For Treatment Fast
We try to get people in for treatment within 24-48 hours and are willing to see patients after hours for those that have an urgent need. Every day that goes by with you in pain – your life is on hold. You can’t participate in sports, care for you family, or even do your job effectively.
➢ Rapid Results
Many patients are out of pain within 1-3 visits but are seen for an average of 6 visits. Once the pain is under control, the focus shifts to strengthening the soft tissue, preventing future injury, and teaching what to do if the symptoms should return.
➢ One on One Time With You for the Entire Treatment
Your physical therapist will stay with you throughout the visit providing a one-on-one, hands on treatment. This allows the therapist to monitor the treatment and ensure progress. Unlike most therapy clinics, high school kids are not used to provide any treatments.
➢ No “Fluff” is Added to Treatments
Many therapy clinics have patients do random, non-specific exercises to be able to bill more or so they can work with multiple patients at one time. We respect your time and will never have you sit on a stationary bike, walk on a treadmill, or lie on a treatment table in the corner of a room for 30 min with a hot pack on your back while we work with a different patient.
➢ Treatments are Gentle
Many patients are apprehensive about what physical therapy is and worry about being moved in a way that would aggravate their pain. We had a patient tell our receptionist he had changed his mind about being evaluated and was in too much pain to “tolerate” physical therapy. The receptionist told the patient that his severe pain was why he needed to be treated. With some encouragement, he stayed and was shocked to be completely out of pain in only a few minutes. He said “I don’t understand what just happened. It didn’t seem like you even did anything”. He was able to bend and move with no pain. While we don’t always get people out of pain this fast, a high percentage of patients do.
